First Video Posted - My Garden 2011 Time Lapse
This is the first video I posted here.
Video was created with photos taken across the entire season of 2011.
End of December 2010 a big snow storm dumped two feet of snow in my backyard.
When spring came, I decided to document how the garden shape up over the season.
Roughly by month, the flowers in bloom are:
April - Forsythia, Daffodils, Hyacinths, Azalea (purple gem)
May - Bleeding Hearts, May Salvia, Gerber Daisies, Azalea (red and white and pink), German Bearded Iris, Lily-of-the-valley, Peonies,
June - Roses, Carnations, Daylily Stella D'Oro, Cala Lily (purple), Hydrangea, Hosta, Dusty Miller, Lavender
July - Oriental Lily, Cala Lily (yellow), Daylily (red), Black Eyed Susan, Roses
August - Chrysanthymum, Wonder of Staffa, Clementis, Russian Sage, Roses
After the snow in early April I transplanted a Japanese Maple tree in the left corner.
A lot of the flowers were moved around in March and April. By early summer the garden was shaping up nicely.
In contrast the winter for 2011/12 is rather mild. I did very little in 2012 in the garden.
I am glad it is grown into the low maintenance garden I had hoped for.
