Northern Lights in IcelandOne thing that should be on anyone's bucket list is to watch the northern lights. Also called Aurora Borealis, the mystic lights of the north have captured the imagination of many since ancient times. This year is supposed to be solar maximum which means the chance of seeing northern lights is high. On this one week trip to Iceland, I am able to see northern lights on three nights. On the last night of the trip the northern lights put on an awesome show. I was rewarded with dancing lights in the sky that spread from one end of the horizon overhead across to the other side of the horizon. On the dark clear sky I can also see the milky way shining brightly which is an added bonus. It is just unforgettable. Comments
